People looking for a little taste of Scottish culture without having to travel got their chance this weekend.
The Kern County Fairgrounds hosted the Celtic Music Festival on Saturday. The festival – which returns this year after having to cancel last year’s event due to financial issues – featured live music from several bands including Whiskey Galore, The Angry Brians and BlackEyed Dempseys.
The festival also included vendors selling food, beer and other items. One new feature this year were lawn games such as cornhole, Twister and darts. The festival also included a whiskey tasting and a drawing.
