The Marshall Artists already kicked off its 2017-2018 season with a raw and raucous blast of comedy from SNL star Leslie Jones, and they step right back to the microphone with another contemporary shot of comedy from former SNL star writer, John Mulaney.
Mulaney wrote six seasons for SNL appeared as a “Weekend Update” correspondent and co-created characters such as “Stefon” with Bill Hader. The comedy star who has had three hit Comedy Central specials and albums comes to the historic Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, for a show produced by the Artists Series in conjunction with Marshall University’s Student Activities.
Before kicking his current Kid Gorgeous Tour, Mulaney starred in the Broadway hit, “Oh, Hello on Broadway” alongside Nick Kroll. He currently writes for IFC’s “Documentary Now” and Netflix’s “Big Mouth” on which he also voices the character Andrew.
