The Art Studio is asking local artists to create art based on music for the upcoming exhibit, “Sound/InSight.”

The show asks artists to listen to original songs composed by Lamar University music majors and create a piece of art in response.

There are two pieces of music artists can choose from, and the exhibit will be arranged based on each work’s inspiration.

Submissions will be accepted in person at the Art Studio from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. The studio is located at 720 Franklin St. in Beaumont.

The music and more information about the exhibit can be found at www.artstudio.org.

The show will open Nov. 4 with a reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will be on display through Nov. 24.
